Pantera Surf comes out of Playa Avallanas, on the Guanacaste coast of Costa Rica. A beach break with a reef on the end of it, and a stretch of sand we surf most days of the year. Every board that carries our name gets ridden here before it goes anywhere else. Quality boards, quality waves, quality people, and having fun along the way.
The Craft
1. The Blank
We start with a premium blank, selecting the finest wood for its density and grain. The foundation is hand-carved by our master shaper to establish the board's unique character and form.
2. The Rocker
The rocker is the heart of the board. We hand-carve the curve of the board to ensure it cuts through the waves with precision and stability, providing the surfer with a smooth ride.
3. The Rails
The rails are the board's edges. We hand-finish them to the perfect thickness and angle, ensuring they provide the necessary grip and stability for the surfer to maintain control.
